How WebP stores metadata
WebP is a RIFF-based container. Metadata lives in dedicated chunks — an EXIF chunk holding the standard camera tags, an XMP chunk for editing and rights data, and an ICC chunk for the color profile.
Photos exported or converted to WebP for the web often keep their original EXIF, including GPS. This viewer reads those chunks locally in your browser, and the EXIF Remover can strip them losslessly.
