How the editor works
- Ready-made values. Each field offers common presets covering apertures, ISO, shutter speeds, camera makes and models, so you can pick instead of guessing the format.
- Quick-fill profiles. Load a full camera profile (iPhone, Canon, Sony…) to populate make, lens and settings in one click.
- Correct formats. Values are encoded to the exact EXIF types, meaning rationals, dates and coordinates, so the file stays valid.
- Add or remove. Clear a field to delete that tag, or fill an empty one to add metadata a photo never had.
Edits are written back into the file's EXIF block only. The image pixels are copied through untouched, so there is no quality loss. Everything happens in your browser; the photo is never uploaded.

How do I edit the EXIF data of a photo?

Can I change the date a photo was taken?
Yes. Use the Date taken field to set a new capture date and time. You can also edit the digitized and modified timestamps.
Can I add or fake GPS location?
Yes. Enter decimal coordinates in the Location section or pick a city preset to embed GPS data. Leaving those fields empty removes any existing location.
Does editing reduce image quality?
No. Only the EXIF metadata is rewritten; the image data is preserved exactly, so there is no re-compression or quality loss.
Which formats can I edit?
EXIF writing is supported for JPEG (.jpg / .jpeg) photos, which is where editable EXIF is standardized.
