Metadata tools that respect your privacy
ExifPixel is a free collection of tools for viewing, editing and removing the hidden metadata in your photos — built on one simple principle: your images should never leave your device.
Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you drop a photo onto the viewer, the editor or the remover, the file is read and processed locally on your own computer or phone. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is stored, and nothing is logged. That is what makes ExifPixel both instant and genuinely private.
Why we built it
Photo metadata is powerful and poorly understood. It helps photographers learn from their settings, but it can also quietly expose where you live and when you were there. Most existing tools either upload your photos to a server or only do one job. We wanted a single, trustworthy place to understand and control that data — with a clean interface and no catch.
What you can do here
- View every EXIF, GPS and camera tag in a photo.
- Remove metadata losslessly, without touching image quality.
- Edit any field by hand, with ready-made suggestions.
- Extract GPS coordinates and see them on a map.
- Compare the metadata of two photos side by side.
ExifPixel is free to use, with no account, no watermarks and no daily limits. Read our privacy policy for the full details, or jump straight into the toolkit.
